Bring the taste of Morocco into your kitchen with this authentic, handcrafted Moroccan Clay Cooking Tagine. Simple, functional, and beautifully made by skilled artisans, this traditional earthenware tagine is perfect for creating rich, flavorful, and aromatic dishes right at home. Its cone-shaped lid circulates steam slowly, helping your meals cook evenly while preserving moisture and enhancing taste. This tagine can be used on electric stovetops, glass stovetops, or inside the oven. If you are using a gas stove with open flame, please place a heat diffuser underneath to protect the clay and prevent cracking. IMPORTANT NOTE Tagines must always be used on low to medium heat only. High heat may cause cracking due to the natural clay construction. ✅ HOW TO CURE (SEASON) YOUR TAGINE BEFORE FIRST USE Seasoning your tagine is essential to strengthen the clay and prevent cracks. Follow these simple steps: 1. Soak in Water Submerge the entire tagine (base & lid) in water for at least 1 hour. If you cannot submerge it, fill the tagine with water until it stops absorbing. Let the lid soak as well, then drain and let dry for about 5 minutes. 2. Coat with Olive Oil Use about 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Apply 2 tablespoons to the base and 1 tablespoon to the lid. Spread evenly with your hand to coat all surfaces. 3. Heat in the Oven While the tagine is still coated in oil, place it in a cold oven. Set the temperature to 350°F and bake for 45 minutes. Turn off the oven and allow the tagine to cool inside the oven. This process seals the clay naturally and prepares it for cooking.
